Peak Season Surcharge
Intermodal Announcement 2010-243
Effective: August 15, 2010
Dear valued IMC customer,
This announcement is to clarify the
application of the peak season surcharge in announcement 2010-235 posted
July 15, 2010. The peak season surcharge will be added to the base rate
and subject to any applicable surcharge(s) including the Fuel Surcharge.
To reiterate, effective August 15,
2010, Union Pacific will implement a peak season surcharge for the
following origins:
6.5% Peak Season Surcharge :
California, El
Paso, and Laredo Origins
All rate documents for ramp-to-ramp
and door-to-door (Streamline) services on all equipment types will have a
peak season surcharge applied to the base rates. The surcharge will be
effective August 15, 2010 and remain in effect until December 15, 2010.
Please note this surcharge will exclude UMAX dynamic, Mexico Transborder, and Passport rate documents.
