2012 Alameda Corridor Fees
Effective January 1, 2012
Dear Valued Customer,
Effective January 1st, 2012, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway and
Union Pacific Railroad will be increasing the Alameda Corridor User Fees.
Additionally, effective December 1, 2011, BNSF and UP
implemented a “special rate increase”, a Subsequent Shortfall
Advance, of $1.12 (BNSF) and $1.13 (UP) per TEU to these Use Fees. This special rate increase will become
effective Immediately.
These fees will apply to waterborne containers that originate or
terminate at the Port facilities of Los Angeles
and/or Long Beach and move by rail into or
out of Southern California. These fees
will also apply to non-waterborne containers that are not loaded onto or
discharged from a vessel but move over the Alameda Corridor via rail.
